This insurance provides protection to debtors with installment loans by paying an amount based on the monthly indemnity, usually equal to the required monthly payment on the loan, in the event that the insured has become totally and permanently disabled. Coverage is available only on loans repayable on periodic equal installments. The benefit payable is for the actual number of days of total and permanent disability.
